Box Score 2 PHOENIX, Ariz. — The Bethel College men's tennis team wrapped up its Arizona trip last week with a loss against No. 14 Arizona Christian before closing the weekend with a dominant 6-1 win over OUAZ.

The Threshers opened the trip against nationally ranked Arizona Christian, currently No. 14 in the country.
Bethel showed fight early in doubles play. Petr Kollar and Zaidh Zihar earned a strong 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles. Arizona Christian responded with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Bethel faced a deep and experienced lineup. Adam Tomka pushed his No. 6 singles match to a third-set tiebreak before falling 14-12 in the tiebreaker. Petr Kollar also forced three sets at No. 2 singles in a competitive battle.
Despite the 7-0 final score, Bethel competed well against one of the top teams in the nation.

Bethel bounced back the following day with a convincing 6-1 win over OUAZ.
The Threshers swept doubles play to take control early. Kollar and Zihar edged a 7-6 win at No. 1, while Billy Haoda and Jorge Batista won 6-4 at No. 2. Rodrigo Sanchez and Adam Tomka added a 6-3 victory at No. 3.
In singles, Bethel claimed five wins. Kollar won in straight sets at No. 2. Haoda delivered a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 3. Sanchez, Zihar, and Tomka each secured straight-set victories to seal the team win.
The Threshers finished the trip with momentum after a strong team performance across the lineup.

The Threshers host Hastings tomorrow at 2:00 PM. On Thursday, Bethel will compete in two exhibitions against Barton and Cowley. The week concludes Saturday with a home match against Concordia.
