NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Bethel men's tennis put together a dominant showing Monday afternoon, sweeping Hastings 7-0 at home.

The Threshers set the tone early by taking all three doubles matches. Billy Haoda and Zaidh Zihar controlled the top spot with a 6-1 win, while Adam Tomka and Petr Kollar mirrored that score at No. 2 doubles. Rodrigo Sanchez and Moses Sawatzky completed the sweep at No. 3 with another 6-1 victory.

Up 1-0 heading into singles, Bethel didn't slow down.

Jorge Batista delivered a strong performance at No. 1 singles, earning a 7-5, 6-3 win. Kollar was sharp at No. 2 with a 6-0, 6-1 decision, and Haoda followed with a 6-0, 6-1 victory of his own at No. 3. Sanchez (6-0, 6-1) and Zihar (6-1, 6-0) added straight-set wins at No. 4 and No. 5, while Tomka closed out the sweep at No. 6 with a 6-3, 6-0 result.

Bethel controlled the match from start to finish, showing depth across the lineup and consistency in every flight.

Next up, the Threshers return to the courts at home Saturday against Concordia. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
