SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Bethel Men's Tennis put together one of its most complete performances of the season Saturday, sweeping Evangel 7-0 in dominant fashion.
The Threshers controlled the match from the start, taking all three doubles points to grab early momentum. The duo of Zaidh Zihar and Petr Kollar led the way at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4 win, while Billy Haoda and Jorge Batista (6-1) and Adam Tomka and Jonah Bergeron (6-0) secured the doubles sweep.
In singles play, Bethel didn't let up.
Jorge Batista set the tone at No. 1 with a commanding 6-1, 6-3 win, followed by straight-set victories from Petr Kollar, Billy Haoda, and Rodrigo Sanchez. Zaidh Zihar and Jonah Bergeron closed things out with dominant performances at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, both winning in straight sets without dropping a game in multiple sets.
Bethel completed the sweep by winning all six singles matches in straight sets, capping off a clean 7-0 result.
