NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — The Bethel College softball team was officially eliminated from KCAC tournament contention following a difficult stretch of road doubleheaders against Evangel University and Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The Threshers (12-22) will look to finish their season on a high note today at home against Sterling College.
Weekend Recap
vs. Evangel (April 18)
The Threshers struggled to find an offensive rhythm in Springfield, dropping both games of the doubleheader to a high-powered Evangel squad.
vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan (April 19)
Bethel found more offensive success against OKWU but fell short in two competitive matchups.
-
Game 1 (OKWU 11, Bethel 3): Madison Gonzales provided the highlight of the game with a home run. Kenzi Young, Kiyana Cash, and Alohilana Mundon each added an RBI as the Threshers kept pace early before a late OKWU surge
-
Game 2 (OKWU 5, Bethel 3): In a tightly contested finale, Bethel tallied seven hits. Katelynn Quidato pitched a complete game, allowing only four earned runs. Offensively, the Threshers saw RBI production from Young, Cash, and Kailey Sandoval, bringing the tying run to the plate in the final inning before the Eagles secured the win
