TOPEKA, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Track and Field team participated in the Washburn All Kansas Invite Saturday along with nearly every school in the state of Kansas that offers Track and Field. The best finish for Bethel on the day was
Sebastian Formento's 9th place finish in the triple jump.
Isaac Tarango recorded a 10th place finish in the 200m running it in a time of 22.45. He was also a part of the Threshers 4x400m team that finished 13th after posting a time of 3:35.72.
Corbin Unruh also ran in the 200m and was a part of the 4x400m team. In the 600m, Unruh finished 23rd posting a time of 23.36.Â
Charles Walker ran in both the 200m and the 400m. His best finish came in the 400m where he finished 16th with a time of 54.75. He ran the 200m in 24.20 to finish 40th.
Along with his triple jump performance, Formento also ran in the 200m. After posting a 9th place finish in triple jump with a distance of 12.10m, he ran the 200m in 24.28 to finish 44th.
Sergio Torres ran in the 400m along with Walker. Torres finished the race with a time of 59.33 putting him 24th.
Isaiah Bartel and
Tobin Wise both ran in the 600m. Bartel finished 12th with a time of 1:17.18 and Wise finished 16th with a time of 1:21.14. Bartel and Wise were both a part of the Threshers 4x400 team as well.
Mauro Arancibia Campos,
Robbie Crager and
Carter Funk all ran in the 1 mile. Arancibia Campos finished his mile in a time of 4:38.49 to put him in 18th place. Crager ran the mile in 5:26.24 to finish 37th. Funk finished right behind him in 38th with a time of 5:26.76.
Arran Kearney was the lone Threshers to run in the 3000m as he posted a time of 8:55.27 to finish in 16th place, a nearly 16 second improvement on his school record time.Â
Hayden Wallace finished 28th in the shot put posting a distance of 10.77m.
The Threshers will be back in action on Friday, January 28th and Saturday, January 29th as they travel back to Topeka for the Washburn Open.
