TOPEKA, Kan. - Both Bethel College Track and Field teams participated in the two day long Washburn Open. The Threshers were able to set two new school records in the two days.
Natalie Graber had a tremendous day in Topeka as she set a new school record for the women's 3000 meter as she finished with a time of 11:47.64.Â
Isaiah Bartel ran a personal best time of 4:26.97 in the men's 1 mile to finish as the best KCAC runner. Teammate
Arran Kearney finished as the KCAC's second top finisher with a time of 4:39.97.
Laiya Palmer ran the second fasted KCAC time in the women's 60 meter with a time of 8.13.
Isaac Tarango was the KCAC's second best finisher in the men's 60 m with a time of 7.07.
Three Threshers ran personal bests in the men's 3000 meter led by
Mauro Arancibia Campos who beat his previous PR by 35 seconds as he ran a 8:57.81, about three seconds shy of the school record.
Andrew Graber ran a 9:52.35 to beat his previous PR by about 30 seconds.
Robbie Crager improved upon his previous best by nearly a minute as he turned in a time of 10:49.99.
Isaac Tarango finished as the top NAIA runner in the men's 200 meter with a time of 22.31.
Aubry Grame turned in a top 15 finish in the women's 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.25. She was also apart of the women's 4x400 relay team that finished the race as the top KCAC program with a school record time of 4:12.29. Grame was joined on the 4x4000 meter team by
Stephany Meyer, Alexandra Menodza and
Mia Roman.
The Thresher men's distance relay team of Bartel, Arancibia Campos,
Tobin Wise and
Charles Walker finished 6th turning in a time of 4:23.75.
Kalyn Corley finished 11th in the women's weight throw with a distance of 13.78m.
Both Thresher teams will be back in action on Saturday, February 5th as they travel to Maryville, Mo. for the Bearcat Classic hosted by Northwest Missouri State.
