WINFIELD, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Track and Field team participated in the Jinx Invite hosted by Southwestern College. The Threshers finished in 8th place as a team led by
Arran Kearney's first place finish in the 5000m.
Kearney ran the 5000m in 16:30.97, nearly 14 seconds ahead of the next closest competitor.
Robbie Crager ran a time of 18:57.21 to finish 13th, while
Carter Funk ran a time of 20:43.15 to finish 15th.
Hayden Wallace was the Threshers lone thrower in the competition. Wallace finished 10th in the shot put with a distance of 11.67m and 10th in the discus recording a mark of 33.40m.
Mauro Arancibia Campos finished 3rd in the 1500m recording a time of 4:12.14.
Matthew Fleck finished 51st with a time of 5:10.34.
Trey Palmer finished 3rd in the 100m recording a time of 10.88.
Isaac Tarango ran an 11.40 to finish 15th,
Corbin Unruh ran an 11.54 to finish 20th and
Garrett Slater ran an 11.72 to finish 26th.Â
Gabe Gaeddert was the Threshers highest finisher in the 400m as he finished 13th running a 53.44.
Charles Walker finished 26th after running a 57.03.
Isaiah Bartel finished 5th in the 800m after running a 2:00.01.
Luke Schmidt finished 14th with a time of 2:02.46, while
Tobin Wise finished 19th after recording a time of 2:04.53.Â
In the 200m, Palmer finished 6th with a time of 22.01. Tarango was the next highest Thresher to finish as he finished 12th with a time of 22.36. Unruh and Slater finished back to back in 29th and 30th after running times of 23.28 and 23.32. Gaeddert finished 42nd after runnin a 24.11.Â
The 4x100m relay team of Slater, Unruh, Tarango and Palmer finished 3rd with a time of 42.46.
The 4x400m relay team of Tarango, Unruh, Slater and Gaeddert finished 8th with a time of 3:30.10.
The Threshers will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 1st and 2nd as they take part in the Friends Invite in Wichita, Kan.Â
