WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Track and Field team took part in the KT Woodman Invite hosted by Wichita State. The invite included a majority of the collegiate schools in Kansas including schools from the NJCAA, NAIA, NCAA DII and NCAA DI.
Trey Palmer ran a season best time of 10.46 to finish 11th in the 100 meters while hitting the NAIA A Standard to qualify for Outdoor Nationals. The Junior turned in the 6th fast time in the NAIA in a race that included two of the fastest 100 meter times in the world so far this year a 10.10 and a 10.16.
Isaac Tarango ran a personal best 10.71 to finish 27th and narrowly miss the NAIA B Standard by .06.
Tarango also ran in the 200 meters where he turned in a 30th place recording a time of 22.13.
Sebastian Formento finshed 57th with a time of 22.82 while
Corbin Unruh ran a 22.94 to finish 63rd.
In the 1500 meters
Andrew Graber finished 79th posting a time of 4:35.47
Robbie Crager finished 87th with a time of 4:54.24,
Carter Funk finished 90th with a time of 5:05.47 and
Matthew Fleck finished 93rd with a time of 5:27.06.
In the 800 meters
Mauro Arancibia Campos posted the second best NAIA score with a 12th place finish running a time of 1:59.68.
Arran Kearney finished right behind him in the 14th with a time of 2:00.58.
Isaiah Bartel finshed 18th after posting a time of 2:01.03.
Tobin Wise and
Luke Schmidt finished back-to-back with times of 2:06.42 and 2:06.47 to finish 42nd and 43rd.
Gabe Gaeddert ran the 400 meters where he finished 60th with a time of 53.23.
The 4x100 meters relay team finished 12th with a time of 42.49.
The Threshers will be back in action on Friday, April 15th at Thresher Stadium as they host the Bethel Invite with field events scheduled to start at 10 am and the track events scheduled to start at 11 am.
