NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Track and Field team hosted the Bethel Invite on a beautiful day in North Newton. The Threshers turned in multiple strong showings in the competition as they finished sixth out of the ten teams in attendance.

Hayden Wallace was the lone thrower for the Threshers in the competition. He turned in a 16th place finish in the shot put with a mark of 11.2m and a 17th place finish in the discus with a mark of 31.36m.

Matthew Fleck finished 3rd in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:48.59.

In the 1500m Mauro Arancibia Campos led the way for Bethel with a 2nd place finish after running a time of 4:06.67. Arran Kearney ran a time of 4:13.27 to finish 4th. Andrew Graber finished 11th with a time of 4:22.59 while Landon Barnes ran a time of 5:08.46 to finish 35th.

Isaac Tarango qualified for the 100m finals with a prelim time of 10.93. In the final Tarango ran a 10.90 to finish in 3rd. 

Isaiah Bartel led the way for Bethel in the 800m with a 2nd place finish after running a 1:59.95. Luke Schmidt finished 10th with a time of 2:03.00 while Tobin Wise finished 11th after running a 2:03.32. Arancibia Campos ran a 2:06.32 to finish 16th and Aaran Kearney ran a 2:09.82 to finish 21st.

Tarango ran a 21.95 in the 200m to finish in 3rd place. Garrett Slater ran a time of 23.08 to finish in 19th. Corbin Unruh finished 22nd with a time of 23.28 and Gabe Gaeddert finished 29th with a time of 24.16.

The 4x400m "A" squad ran a time of 3:27.13, a 3 second season best, to finish 2nd while the "B" squad ran a 3:40.58 to finish in 5th place.

The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, April 23rd as they head to a meet hosted by Tabor College.
