WINFIELD, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Track and Field team hit the road south to Winfield for the second straight week, this time for the KCAC Outdoor Championships. The Threshers turned in 8 top 10 finishes in the meet.
The best finish of the two day competition for the Threshers came from the legs of their All-American
Trey Palmer as he finished 3rd in the 100m(10.85) after sitting in 7th following the prelims.
Isaac Tarango finished 7th in the 100m with a 10.97.
Corbin Unruh also ran in the 100m where he finished 22nd with a time of 11.46.
Tarango finished 5th in the 200m with a time of 21.95.
Sebastian Formento finished 26th with a time of 23.28 while
Garrett Slater and Unruh finished back to back in 29th(23.40) and 30th(23.53).
Gabe Gaeddert was the lone Thresher to run in the 400m as he finished 21st turning in a time of 53.12.
Bethel had two top 10 finishers in the 800m in
Isaiah Bartel and
Mauro Arancibia Campos. Bartel finished 5th with a time of 1:54.74, a personal best and school record, and Campos finished 10th with a time of 1:57.13.
Tobin Wise finished 33rd with a time of 2:07.48.
In the 1500m the Threshers once again had two top 10 finishers in
Arran Kearney and Campos. Kearney finished 6th with running a time of 4:01.00, a personal best, while Campos finished 8th with a time of 4:02.61.
Andrew Graber finished 15th after running a 4:16.64 while
Luke Schmidt ran a 4:18.70 to finish 17th.
Robbie Crager finished 31st with a time of 4:38.41 and
Carter Funk finished in 41st with a time fo 5:09.44.
Matthew Fleck was the lone Thresher to run in the 3000m steeple as he finished 16th with a time of 12:26.07.
Hayden Wallace finished 14th in the discus with a mark of 31.45m. He also finished 19th in the shot put with a best mark of 10.89m.Â
The Threshers finished 5th in the 4x100m relay as Slater, Tarango, Unruh and Palmer combined to run a 42.11. The 4x400m relay team comprised of Slater, Gaeddert, Formento and Bartel ran a 3:31.16 to finish 10th. In the 4x800m relay Campos, Bartel, Schmidt and Wise combined for a 7:52.96 to finish 4th.
