WICHITA, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Track and Field Athletes of the Week for week two on Monday afternoon.
Trey Palmer earned the track award after turning in two blistering times in the 60 meter dash at the Scott Nisley Invite hosted by Doane.
In Palmer's prelim heat he turned in the top time of the of all 49 runners by running a 6.96. Entering the final heat as the top seed, Palmer finished second place after improving on his earlier time by .03 seconds. His time of 6.93 was just .02 away from the NAIA B Standard.
Palmer and the rest of his Thresher teammates will be back in action this Saturday, January 21st for the Washburn Rust Buster in Topeka, Kan.
