NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - Both Bethel College Track and Field teams competed in the Herm Wilson Invite hosted by Wichita State. Trey Palmer turned in a pair of high quality performances as he qualified for NAIA Indoor Nationals in two events.

In the 60m, Palmer ran the second fastest qualifying time of 6.89, an NAIA B Standard time. In the finals, he improved his time by .06 to 6.83 hitting the NAIA A Standard, finishing second. Corbin Unruh finished 37 with a time of 7.30. Julian Jackson finished 50th with a time of 7.41 while Cade Mason finished 51st with a time of 7.42.

Aubry Grame finished 16th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.89.

In the 60m dash Dakota Voortman finished 47th with a time of 9.02.

Myiah Logue finished 31st in the women's 200m with a time of 28.23 while Voortman finished 47th with a time of 30.76.

Unruh ran the 200m in 24.18 to finish 27th. Mason finished 42nd with a time of 25.05, while George Thompson finished 48th with a time of 26.01.

In the women's 400m Grame finished 17th with a time of 1:04.97.

The men's 400m saw Chris Ortiz finished 5th with a time of 52.37. Simon Hodge finished 12th with a time of 53.11 while Tre Lucas finished 20th with a time of 53.98. Richard Whatley Jr. finished in 27th with a time of 54.50, Gabe Gaeddert finished 34th with a time of 55.27. Nick Morgan rounded out the Bethel finishers with a time of 58.60 to finish 43rd.

Isaiah Bartel finished 5th in the men's 800m with a time of 2:02.74.

Tobin Wise finished 20th in the men's 1000m with a time of 2:44.26. Daniel Kaufman finished 30th with a time of 2:53.64.

In the women's 3000m Bethany Schrag finished 24th with a time of 13:18.18.

Andrew Graber finished 32nd in the men's 1 mile run with a time of 5:00.54. Matthew Fleck finished not too far behind in 35th with a time of 5:07.03. Robbie Crager finished 39th with a time of 5:30.07.

In the 4x400m relay, Bethel's "A" group finished 7th with a time of 3:32.96 while their "B" group finished 13th with a time of 3:48.87.

Hayden Wallace and Julius McVay finished back to back in the weight throw in 27th and 28th with distances of 10.90m and 9.82m.

In the women's long jump, Logue turned in the second best NAIA mark with a distance of 4.78m to finish 9th overall.

The men's long jump saw Trey Palmer hit an NAIA A Standard and shatter a school record when he turned in a distance of 7.27m. He finished .21m ahead of the next closest jumper.

In the shot put McVay finished 16th with a mark of 12.19m while Wallace finished 19th with a mark of 11.94m.
