WICHITA, Kan. - Both Bethel College Indoor Track and Field teams took part in the Friends University First Chance Qualifier hosted at the Heskett Center on the campus of Wichita State University.

After qualifying for the 60m finals with a time of 6.99,
Trey Palmer finished 12th with a time of 7.04 after running in the first finals heat.

Dakota Voortman also ran in the 60m where she finished 24th with a time of 9.12.

Mia Roman finished 6th in the 400m with a time of 1:03.89.Â

Sebastian Formento and
Garrett Slater ran in the 400m on the men's side with Formento finishing 15th with a time of 56.05 and Slater finishing 17th with a time of 57.59.

Running in the 800m,
Isaiah Bartel finished 9th with a time of 2:08.96.

Lynnzey Young finished 3rd in the 3000m walk with a time of 25:21.14.

Elly Bertholf finished 5th in the 3000m with a time of 13:50.46.

In the women's 200m
Myiah Logue finished 15th with a time of 28.95.
Karsen Dunham finished 18th with a time of 29.83.

The men's 600m saw Richard Whatley Jr. finish 9th with a time of 1:29.29. While
Nick Morgan finished 14th with a time of 1:36.19.

Bethany Schrag finished 16th with a time of 6:50.64.

Luke Schmidt finished 11th with a time of 4:47.44.
Tobin Wise finished 13th with a time of 4:52.49. Daniel Kaufman and
Matthew Fleck finished back to back in 21st and 22nd with times of 5:14.40 and 5:15.93.Â

Roman finished tied for 4th in the high jump with a mark of 1.45m.

Palmer finished 3rd in the long jump with a mark of 6.48m. Formento finished 7th with a mark of 5.75m and
Charles Walker finished 13th with a mark of 4.89m.

Logue finished 6th in the long jump with a mark of 4.87m, while Dunham finished 10th with a mark of 4.68m.

Hayden Wallace finished 14th in the weight throw with a mark of 9.54m.

Julius McVay finished 6th in the shot put with a distance of 12.83m, while Wallace finished 11th with a distance of 11.26m.

In the triple jump Formento finished in 5th with a mark of 12.60m, while Walker finished 9th with a mark of 11.27m.

Logue found herself in 4th after the conclusion of the triple jump with a best mark of 10.65m. Dunham was 5th with a best mark of 10.64m.

The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, January 14th as they travel to Crete, Neb. for the Doane Invitational.
