WICHITA, Kan. - The Threshers had a strong showing at the KCAC Championships bringing home two KCAC Championships and qualifying for the NAIA National meet in four events.

Both of Bethel's KCAC Championships came from the legs of
Myiah Logue who won both the long jump and the triple jump. She was named the KCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Meet with her two victories.

In the long jump Logue turned in a mark of 5.06m. Logue set a new school record in the triple jump with an NAIA A Standard 11.52m. Her jumping partner
Karsen Dunham finished 4th in the long jump with a mark of 4.97m and 2nd in the triple jump with an NAIA B Standard 11.31m, also higher than the previous school record.

Trey Palmer was the other Thresher to qualify for the NAIA National meet as he finished 2nd in the long jump with a mark of 6.95m, the second best distance of his short jumping career. Palmer also ran an NAIA A Standard preliminary race in the 60m with a time of 6.81. He improved to 6.78 in the final, a new personal best time.Â

In the men's long jump
Sebastian Formento finished 13th with a mark of 5.82m while
George Thompson finished 17th with a distance of 5.41m.

Julius McVay finished 7th in the shot put with a mark of 13.21m while
Hayden Wallace finished 11th with a distance of 12.09m.

Aubry Grame set a new school record with her 60m hurdles prelim run of 9.45. In the finals race, Grame finished 7th with a time of 9.57.

Formento finished 17th in the 60m with a time of 7.25.
Corbin Unruh finished 19th with a time of 7.29.
Julian Jackson was 21st with a time of 7.30. Caden Mason finished 24th with a time of 7.40 while
Garrett Slater finished 26th with a time of 7.44.

The men's 4x800 squad of
Luke Schmidt,
Simon Hodge,
Richard Whatley Jr. and
Isaiah Bartel finished 4th with a time of 8:22.68.

Dakota Voortman finished 27th in the 200m with a time of 30.62.

Unruh finished 13th in the 200m with a time of 23.50. Mason finished 25th with a time of 24.40 and Thompson finished 30th with a time of 25.07.

Wallace finished 14th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.16m while McVay finished 20th with a distance of 8.59m.

Formento finished the triple jump in 13th place with a mark of 11.98m.

Hodge finished 3rd in the 600m with a time of 1:15.05. Whatley Jr finished 9th with a time of 1:27.85, while
Nick Morgan finished 13th with a time of 1:32.14.

Tobin Wise finished 13th in the 1000m with a time of 2:42.56.

Bethany Schrag ran the mile in 6:29.43 to finish 16th.

Daniel Kaufman ran the mile in 4:55.75 to finish in 20th.
Matthew Fleck finished 22nd with a time of 4:57.37 and
Robbie Crager finished 30th with a time of 5:21.45.

Grame ran the 400m in 1:03.26 to finish 10th.

Chris Ortiz finished 5th in the 400m with a time of 52.35.
Gabe Gaeddert finished 19th with a time of 55.31.

Bartel finished the 880m in 5th place with a time of 2:00.23 while Schmidt finished 9th with a time of 2:03.32.

In the 3000m, Fleck finished 25th with a time of 10:26.63.

The men's 4000m distance medley team of Wise, Gaeddert, Morgan and Bartel finished 7th with a time of 11:26.72.

The men's 4x400 team of Formento, Hodge, Ortiz and Palmer finished 5th with a time of 3:31.32.
As teams, the men finished the meet in 7th place out of 12. The women finished 8th out of 12.

Logue, Dunham and Palmer will all be back in action for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Nationals in Brookings, S.D. on March 2nd through the 4th.
