NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – After three seasons at the helm of the Bethel College men's soccer program, Head Coach Luka Milicevic has announced his resignation.
Milicevic took over the men's soccer program in 2022 and, in his first season, also served as the head coach for the women's team. Over three years, he led the Threshers to a 23-24-10 record, with win totals increasing each season. In 2024, he guided the team to a 4th place finish in the KCAC standings and a home playoff match for the first time in recent memory.
"I am disappointed to see Coach Milicevic leave Bethel College," said Athletic Director Tim Swartzendruber. "Coach did a great job building the program in his three years. Our program is in much better shape now than when he arrived. We wish him well in his future." Known for his competitive spirit and commitment to the program's success, Milicevic made a lasting impact on his players, all the coaches at Bethel, and the Bethel Community in a short amount of time.
Stepping in as interim head coach will be Juan Zamora, who has been an integral part of the coaching staff.
Bethel College thanks Coach Milicevic for his dedication and leadership and wishes him the best in the future.
