NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Bethel Softball delivered a milestone moment on Saturday, walking off Saint Mary in Game One to secure the program's 150th all-time victory before splitting the doubleheader at Wedel Field. The Threshers now sit at 8-10 overall and 4-4 in KCAC play.
Game 1: Bethel 5, Saint Mary 4 (Walk-Off)
Bethel saved its best for last in the opener, rallying in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure a 5-4 walk-off win and etch the 150th victory in program history.
Trailing late, the Threshers put together a clutch final frame, scoring four runs in the seventh to flip the game on its head. Kailey Sandoval scored the winning run on an line drive from Kaylee Linnebur that was dropped by the left fielder to score the winning run.
Sandoval led the offensive charge with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, while Mya Morris added two hits and two RBIs to help spark the comeback.
Katelynn Quitado picked up the win in the circle, shutting the door over the final 1.2 innings, while Emma Killingsworth gave Bethel a strong start to keep the game within reach.
Game 2: Saint Mary 11, Bethel 5
In the second, Saint Mary responded with an 11-5 win to split the series.
Bethel jumped out early with four runs through the first three innings, highlighted by RBI production from Madison Gonzalez and Tressa Ring. However, Saint Mary used a big fourth and fifth inning to take control and never looked back.
Kenzi Young and Madison Gonzalez each tallied multiple hits for the Threshers, while Ring drove in two runs to lead the offense.

Bethel will look to build off the split as they travel to McPherson for another KCAC doubleheader on Tuesday, with first pitch set for 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
