YORK, Neb. — Bethel College Softball fell in both games of a road doubleheader against York on Sunday.
In game one, Bethel kept things competitive early but ultimately came up short in a 6-2 loss. The Threshers were highlighted by a two-run home run from Kaylee Linnebur, accounting for both runs in the contest. Bethel finished with six hits, including a multi-hit day from Alohi Mundon.
In game two, York pulled away early and capitalized on miscues, handing Bethel a 17-3 defeat in five innings. The Threshers responded with a three-run third inning, sparked by RBI efforts from Katelynn Quidato and Emma Figueroa, but were unable to slow York's offensive momentum. Bethel recorded seven hits in the game, including doubles from Quidato and Kaylee Linnebur.
Bethel will look to bounce back as they return home for a doubleheader against Tabor on Wednesday, with first pitch set for 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
