NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Tennis team took on John Brown for their first home match of the spring season. The Threshers defeated the Golden Eagles 6-1 for the second time this season.
Daniela Herrera and
Fatima Nemi, playing #1 doubles, defeated the pairing of Tan/Woodring 7-5.
Nalea Payton and
Patricia Huerta won 6-4 at #2 doubles.
Jenna Mahoney and
Grace Dawes completed the doubles sweep witha 6-3 victory at #3.
Herrera was the lone singles loss for the Threshers as she fell at #1 7-5, 6-2. Nemi won her match at #2 singles 6-3, 6-4. Dawes played #3 where she won a pair of tiebreakers 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5). Payton played in the #4 spot with a pair of 6-2 victories. Mahoney, at #5, won her match 6-2, 6-1. Huerta won #6 6-4, 6-1.
The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, March 11th as they host Texas A&M Texarkana at 10:00 AM.
