SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Bethel College women's tennis team hit the road to San Antonio to take on No. 21 Our Lady of the Lakes before having their match with Missouri Baptist cancelled due to weather.
The Threshers won at #1 doubles as
Daniela Casique and
Halle Krehbiel won 7-6(7-5). Unfortunately Bethel fell at #2 6-1 and #3 6-0.
Casique fell in three sets at #1 7-5, 3-6, 10-0.
Grace Dawes played #2 where she fell 6-0, 6-2. Krehbiel fell at #3 6-1, 6-2.
Jenna Mahoney lost at #4 6-0, 6-2.
Nalea Payton, playing at #5 lost 6-2, 6-0.
Patricia Huerta picked up the lone singles win for the Threshers at #6 as she won 6-2. 3-6, 10-3.
The Threshers took on NCAA Division II University of St. Mary's in an exhibition on Friday before having their final match of the road trip cancelled on Saturday due to rain.
Bethel will be back in action on Wednesday, March 20th as they begin KCAC play aginst Tabor in Hillsboro, Kan.
