NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's tennis team remained undefeated in KCAC play with their 6-1 victory over the Evangel Valor.
The Threshers started off the contest by sweeping doubles, taking a 1-0 advantage into the singles portion of the match. Bethel dropped just four total games in doubles as
Daniela Casique and
Halle Krehbiel won 6-4 in the #1 position.
Nalea Payton and
Patricia Huerta at #2 and
Charis Yager and
Grace Dawes at #3 both won without dropping a game, 6-0.
Casique won at #1 singles 7-6(7-3), 6-1. Dawes playing in the #2 position lost her match 6-3, 5-7, 10-5. Krehbiel won at #3 with a pair of 6-2 victories.
Jenna Mahoney played #4 and dropped just one game as she won 6-1, 6-0. Payton didn't drop a game as she cruised to a pair of 6-0 victories at #5. Huerta closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at #6.Â
The Threshers will be back in action on Thursday, March 28th as they take on the Friends Falcons at 3:00 PM in Wichita.
