OTTAWA, Kan. - The Bethel College softball team dropped both of their contests against the #23 ranked Ottawa Braves on Saturday afternoon.
The Threshers struck first in game one when
Dakota Piovesan drove in
Meehlia Mendiola and
Taylor Sanfillippo in the top of the third inning.Â
The Braves answered with three runs in the bottom of the fourth as they manufactured three runs to take the lead.Â
Ottawa would tack on one more in the sixth before shutting the door on the Threshers in the seventh to take game one 4-2.
Five Threshers recorded a hit in the contest.
The Braves struck first in game one as they pushed two runs across in the bottom of the first frame.
They would add two more runs in the fourth and one in the fifth as they held a 5-0 lead going into the final two frames.
Bethel was sat down in order in each of the final two innings as they fell in game two.Â
Marissa Harrison recorded the Threshers only hit of the contest as she went 1-2 at the plate.
Bethel will be back in action on Wednesday, April 3rd as they travel to McPherson to take on the Bulldogs with first pitch set for 2:00 PM.
