OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Bethel College softball team closed out the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic with a 4-1 loss to No. 9 Oklahoma City before beating Southwestern Assemblies of God 5-2.

The Stars struck first in Bethel's first game of the day as they manufactured a run in the top of the third inning.

After Oklahoma City put up another run in the top of the fourth inning before the Threshers answered with a run of their own. Meehlia Mendiola started things with a leadoff single before being advanced to second by Claire Broxterman and third by a throwing error from the OCU catcher.
