NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's tennis team squeaked out the 4-3 victory over Sterling College winning the doubles point and three of the six singles matches.
The Threshers fell at #1 singles 6-2 before
Nalea Payton and
Patricia Huerta won 6-4 at #2 and
Grace Dawes and
Charis Yager won 7-5 at #3.
Daniela Casique won her match at #1 singles 6-4, 6-2. Dawes fell in her match at #2 6-2, 6-3.
Halle Krehbiel also fell in straight sets as she lost 6-2, 6-1.
Jenna Mahoney lost just one game in her match as she ran away with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #4. Payton won at #5 with a pair of 6-1 victories. Huerta fell in a first set tiebreak 7-6(7-3) and lost the second 7-5.
The Threshers will be back in action on Thursday, April 18th as they host the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes at 3:00 PM.
