NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Women's Tennis team hosted Tabor to open KCAC play on Thursday afternoon at Ward Tennis Center. The Threshers earned a clean sweep 7-0, winning all three doubles matches.
At #1 doubles,
Daniela Herrera and
Fatima Nemi won handedly 6-1.
Halle Krehbiel and
Grace Dawes picked up a 7-5 victory in the #2 spot.
Nalea Payton and
Patricia Huerta completed the doubles sweep of the Bluejays with a 6-2 victory.
Herrera won her match in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 at #1 singles. Nemi had no struggles at the #2 spot picking up a 6-1, 6-0 victory. In the #3 singles slot, Krehbiel picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Payton won at #4 singles with a pair of 6-1 victories. Dawes cruised through her match not dropping a game as she won 6-0, 6-0.
Jenna Mahoney played #6 singles for the Threshers as she dropped just one game in her match winning 6-1, 6-0.
The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, March 25th as they travel to Springfield, Mo. to take on Evangel for the first time as KCAC foes.
