NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's tennis team took on Ottawa in a match that was pushed back one day due to forecasted weather. The Threshers fell 5-2 in the contest.
Bethel lost the doubles point picking up just one win as
Nalea Payton and
Patricia Huerta won at #3 doubles 6-2.
Daniela Herrera and
Fatima Nemi lost at #1 singles 7-5.
Halle Krehbiel and
Grace Dawes fell 7-6 in #2 doubles.
Herrera picked up a win at #1 singles with a pair of 6-4 victories. Nemi dropped a pair of 6-2 sets at #2 singles. Krehbiel lost at #3 6-2, 6-1. Payton fell at #4 with a pair of 6-0 losses.
Jenna Mahoney played #5 singles where she lost 6-4, 6-3. Huerta picked up the Threshers second point of the contest with a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
The Threshers are back in action on April 17th as they take on Sterling College for a match that was postponed earlier in the year due to weather.
