WICHITA, Kan. - The Bethel College women's tennis team was selected third in the KCAC Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll along with Daniela Herrera being named to the All-KCAC Preseason Team.

The McPherson Bulldogs tallied 117 total points and eight of 12 first-place votes. Ottawa, last season's conference tournament champion, was in the No. 2 spot with 111 total points and three first-place votes. Rounding out the Top Five in the preseason poll were Bethel at No. 3 (95 total points), Sterling College at No. 4 (86 total points), and Evangel University at No. 5 (74 total points).

Daniela Herrera, an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American from a year ago, was named to the KCAC Women's Tennis Preseason team after returning to the team for the spring season. 

Ottawa University led the way with two honorees: Isidora Hrnjak and Priyanshi Sharma. Five institutions have one honoree each: Bethel College (represented by Daniela Herrera), McPherson College (represented by Camila Sanchez), Southwestern College (represented by Mariana Ochoa), Friends University (represented by Silva Avakian), and Sterling College (represented by Sofia Tominaga). 

Hrnjak, Herrera, and Sanchez all return after making the Women's Tennis All-KCAC first team a year ago. Sharma and Ochoa were both Second Team All-KCAC honorees last season.
