NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's tennis team fell to Saint Mary 4-3 in the first matchup between the two programs.
The Threshers dropped two of the three doubles matches to lose the doubles point as their only victory came in #3 doubles as
Grace Dawes and
Charis Yager won 6-1.
Daniela Casique fell at #1 singles 6-2, 6-4. Dawes lost in two sets as well after fallining in a tiebreak in the first 7-6(7-3), 6-2.
Halle Krehbiel lost in three sets at #3 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
Jenna Mahoney won in straight sets at #4 singles 6-3, 6-4.
Nalea Payton won 6-0, 6-3 at #5.
Patricia Huerta won her match in three sets after dropping the first 6-3 she went on to win the next two 6-0, 10-8.
The Threshers will be back in action on Thursday, April 11th as they host the Bethany Swedes with the match scheduled to start at 3:00 PM.
