NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - In a match that was pushed back due to wind speeds, the Bethel College women's tennis team swept the Bethany Swedes in a 7-0 victory.
The Threshers won two of the three doubles matches to take the opening point as they won at #1 6-3 and #2 6-4 before losing #3 6-4.
Daniela Casique won her match at the #1 singles position with a pair of 6-2 victories.
Grace Dawes narrowly won her opening set at #2 7-5 before winning 6-3 in set two.
Halle Krehbiel played the only three set match of the contest as she won the first 6-3, lost the second 6-2 and won the third 7-6(7-0).
Jenna Mahoney won her first set 7-5 before dominating the second 6-0 to win in straight sets.
Nalea Payton won at #5 with a pair of 6-1 victories.
Patricia Huerta rounded out the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the #6 position.
The Threshers will be back in action on Saturday, April 13th as they travel to take on the Ottawa Braves with first serve scheduled for 10 am.
