OTTAWA, Kan. - The Bethel College women's tennis team hit the road for the final time in the KCAC regular season as they took on the Ottawa Braves. The Threshers dropped the doubles point and three of the six singles matches as they fell 4-3.
The Threshers dropped all three doubles matches to lose the doubles point. The top pairing fell 7-5, at the second position they lost 6-4 and fell 6-1 at #3.
Daniela Casique fell at #1 singles in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
Grace Dawes went to three sets at #2 singles after dropping her first set 6-0, she won the second 6-2 before falling 6-1 in the third.
Halle Krehbiel won her match in three sets winning the first 6-2, losing the second 6-3 and winning the fourth 6-4.
Jenna Mahoney was up a set and leading in the second when her opponent had to retire due to illness.
Nalea Payton lost at #5 with a pair of 6-2 set losses.
Patricia Huerta won her match in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
The Threshers will be back in action on Monday, April 15th as they host the Sterling Warriors at 3:00 PM.
