Wichita, Kan- The Bethel College women's tennis team capped off a stellar 2025 season with a 15-4 overall record and a 10-1 finish in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) play. Their strong performance was recognized with three Threshers earning All-KCAC honors — including a prestigious individual award.
Daniela Herrera – KCAC Player of the Year, First Team All-KCAC
A cornerstone of Bethel's success, senior Daniela Herrera was named the KCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year for the second time in her decorated career. She finished the season with a perfect 13-0 singles record, including 10-0 in conference play, dominating from the top line. In doubles, Herrera was just as reliable, going 13-2 overall, primarily paired with fellow honorees Daniela Casique and Patty Huerta.
Daniela Casique – First Team All-KCAC
Sophomore Daniela Casique made her mark in her second season, earning First Team All-KCAC honors. Casique compiled an outstanding 10-1 singles record with a perfect 6-0 mark in KCAC matches. She was a force in doubles as well, going 10-2, often alongside Herrera in the No. 1 position.
Patty Huerta – Honorable Mention All-KCAC
Junior Patty Huerta earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC after turning in her best season yet. Huerta posted a 13-3 singles record, going undefeated at 9-0 in conference play, and showcased her adaptability by succeeding in multiple doubles pairings. She contributed 9 doubles wins, playing key roles in tight matches and helping clinch several team victories.
