Women’s Tennis Climbs to No. 9 in Latest ITA National Rankings

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest national rankings this week, and the Bethel College women's tennis team continues to make noise on the national stage. The Threshers moved up to No. 9 in the country.

Bethel's rise in the team rankings has been powered by several standout individual performances throughout the lineup.

In singles play, Daniela Casique checked in at No. 21 nationallySara Ladino also earned national recognition, landing at No. 36 in the ITA singles rankings after a series of strong performances this season.

The Threshers are also heavily represented in the doubles rankings. The pairing of Sara Ladino and Daniela Casique sits at No. 4 in the country, placing them among the elite doubles teams in NAIA tennis. Meanwhile, Patty Huerta and Ximena Raya earned a national spot as well, coming in at No. 43 in the latest ITA doubles rankings.

Bethel will quickly be tested against another nationally ranked opponent as they travel to take on No. 11 Morningside University on Saturday at 12:00 PM in Sioux City, Iowa.
