Darrell Ediger attended Bethel College from 1967 to 1971 where he was four-year letterman in men's basketball and football, and a three-year letterman in men's tennis. In football, Darrell earned Honorable Mention All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in 1968 for his play as a tight end and defensive end, and was named a KCAC Southern Division All-Star in 1968 and 1970 as a defensive end. He was voted the team's Best All-Around Player in 1970. In tennis, he won one conference championship at number 3 doubles with an undefeated 10-0 record. In basketball, Darrell finished his career as the then all-time leading scorer with 1,357 points, and held six other single game or career records. He was voted the team's outstanding player in 1968-1969, and was named to the All-KCAC First Team in 1968-1969, 1969-1970, and 1970-1971. Darrell graduated from Bethel in 1971 with a degree in health, physical education, and recreation with a minor in psychology.
