Frank Flores traveled a long way up I-35 to get to Bethel College, coming all the way from San Antonio, Texas. With him, he brought a skillset which translated to complete dominance on the basketball court. Currently among the Top 10 in 16 different statistical categories for Thresher Men's Basketball, Frank Flores put together a great playing career at Bethel. Flores is a two-time NAIA All-American, including being named to the NAIA All-American Third-Team his senior season. In his final year as a Thresher, Flores helped lead Bethel to an outright KCAC regular-season championship. This resulted in the first (and currently only) NAIA National Championship appearance in the program's history. Flores capped off his career at Bethel by being named the KCAC Player of the Year and is a two-time unanimous All-KCAC First Team selection. Flores still holds the program records for steals in a season (88 in 2002-2003) and steals/game for a career (2.1). His 1,381 career points and 534 career field goals made are still the second-most all-time for a Thresher. Flores was a strong defensive player as well and is second all-time with 216 career steals. This included his record-breaking 88 steals in his senior season, blowing past the previous best of 69.
